The Western North Carolina Historical Association is extremely pleased to welcome Jesse Edgerton as our director of programs. If Jesse looks familiar, it is because he served as manager of the Smith-McDowell House Museum for several years. Jesse was instrumental in acquiring the Luthier’s Craft exhibit from Mount Airy last year and has been seen all across WNC calling many contra dances as an expert caller. Jesse holds a Bachelors Degree in English from Warren Wilson College and a Masters Degree in Appalachian Studies from Appalachian State University. WNCHA is extremely lucky to have someone of Jesse’s experience and educational level serving as our director of programs. Jesse plans to continue WNCHA’s long established relationship with OLLI and the Reuter Center at UNCA. He also plans on developing new programs to be held at the Smith-McDowell House Museum. Jesse maintains limited office hours, but can be reached via email at [email protected] If you have a program idea or suggestion, feel free to reach out to Jesse. WELCOME BACK!
