‘Tis the season once again to enjoy a Twilight Tour of the Smith-McDowell House! Come join us for a rare evening visit to Asheville’s oldest home. The theme for the Tour this year is Appalachian Christmas Carols, and we offer a variety of traditional mountain seasonal music performed by a wonderful string band and a group of beautiful singers, featuring both adults and children. Each song performance will lead you through the magnificently decorated Smith-McDowell House on this special once-a-year after hours visit.
The Twilight Tours are by reservation only – reserve your spot by calling 828-253-9231 or stopping by the House at 283 Victoria Road in Asheville, Wednesday through Saturday, between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm.
Tours begin at 6:00, 7:00, or 8:00 on Friday, November 30th, or Saturday, December 1st.
Arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled tour time and enjoy light refreshments.
Tickets are $15 for WNCHA members and $20 for non-members.
All proceeds benefit WNC Historical Association and Smith-McDowell House.
Payment is due when you make your reservation.
