About the Program

We offer several membership levels to fit the size and needs of your business or organization. Your enrollment not only financially supports the work of our nonprofit organization, but it also helps us to fulfill our mission by providing free and low-cost educational programming about the history and culture of our region to you and your employees.

Each level of business/organizational membership includes multiple WNCHA family memberships for you to distribute to your employees as well as at least one private program tailored to your business or organization. Private programs last one hour and are available on a variety of topics of local, historical interest (see FAQs), but we recommend that you begin with our “Introduction to WNC History” lecture, which can be done in-person at your place of business or via Zoom. The program will be live and includes time for participant questions. The program includes audio/visual components. Private guided walks last one hour and are available in several Asheville-area locations (see FAQs) and will be expanded on demand as staff time allows.

To enroll in the program, please complete the enrollment form by clicking the “Join Us” button above. To pay, please send a check made out to WNCHA at 283 Victoria Road, Asheville, NC 28801 or pay at right via our secure website.

What if the topic I’m interested in isn’t listed?
Give us a call or email to talk about other potential walks or programs of interest to your organization. We may be able to accommodate your request.

How difficult are the walks?
It depends. We try to organize the walks on paved, flat surfaces whenever possible. However, as a consequence of living in these beautiful mountains, most walks will include some varied terrain. We will work with you to determine the appropriate route for your group.

What if my organization is larger or smaller than the membership levels listed?
We should be able to accommodate you. Please call or email to discuss rates.

Is my membership contribution tax deductible?
